File Finder is the new Android app that lets you quickly find your files. All you need to know is part of its name, folder or extension.

For example you have some PDF files in a folder whose name contains the word gutenberg somewhere in your device. Just open File Finder and type gutenberg%pdf. Here the character % is a wildcard that can replace any text. In other words this asks the app to find files whose path contains gutenberg followed by anything (we don’t care about the name of the files) and ending with pdf:

If desired you can also specify the type of files to show (by default any file type is included). For example lets say you want a list of videos stored in your camera folder. If you’re sure the full name of the folder is camera then you can write /camera/ instead to exclude partial matches like camera1 or My camera.

History is automatically saved so in the future you can find your files again with a single tap:

Of course you can easily manage your history, remove one item or all of them, or even completely disable this feature:
